We provide transitional housing, adult basic education, life skills, postsecondary support, vocational coaching, case management, referrals, children’s programming, alumni services, asset-building opportunities, and a supportive community to assist families with their journey to self-sufficiency. Having basic needs provided for up to two years, families are able to focus their efforts on education, career development, and acquiring life skills for independent living. Saranam has demonstrated a 77% rate of families successfully exiting the program into permanent, safe, stable living situations.

We are fostering peacemakers who are articulate, empowered, compassionate, and self-aware women and change agents. This project provides our participants the opportunity to engage with one another in a safe, facilitated manner, providing the much-needed opportunity for peer exchange while also developing confidence and leadership skills that translate into lifelong, transferrable skills that will help female teens succeed in higher learning and careers. The program’s concrete goals are to build global awareness, teach leadership, and inspire action for peace and justice.

Southwest Creations collaborate with our South Valley partners to create an inclusionary economy in New Mexico, redefining family economic security. The work is building local job opportunities, improving education outcomes for our youth, and engaging families as leaders.

Think New Mexico has researched and published a report that lays out an agenda of policy reforms that have been proven to move the needle for students outcomes, either in New Mexico or elsewhere.
